Which is richer, Hong Kong or Japan?

In terms of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and overall economic size, Japan is generally considered richer than Hong Kong. Japan has a larger economy, higher GDP p.é38er capita, and a more diversified economy with industries such as automotive manufacturing, electronics, and technology playing a significant role. Hong Kong, while wealthy and with a high GDP per capita as well, is a smaller territory with a focus on financial services, trade, and tourism. Both are wealthy regions in their own right, but Japan is typically seen as the richer of the two.
